Dorene Pinkham Stahl’s biography and obituary:
In Denver, Colorado, Dorene was born and reared. She began working for Gulf Oil in Denver after graduating from high school. After that, she ended up in Mitchell, South Dakota, where she worked for a family-run pheasant hunting guide service and eventually met David Stahl, the man who would become her husband.
They spent thirty-five years together. They moved to Silt, Colorado, where they have resided for 20 years, after spending a few years in Basalt, Colorado.
Dorene worked as a Rural Route postal carrier in the Roaring Fork Valley, traveling from Basalt to Reudi Reservoir and Meredith and beyond, until her retirement in December 2023. She spent twenty years working six days a week. Dorene was happy to have a lot of friends who were devoted to what they did, and she liked seeing them all the time.
Vernon and Ellrene Pinkham, Dorene’s parents, and her two elder brothers, Doyle Pinkham (Elaine Stultz) and Dana Pinkham (Sherl), predeceased her. She departs from her devoted husband, Dave, her three sisters, Denice Shook (Randy), Donna Buck (Tom), and Diane Zieroth (Lee), as well as their cherished dogs, Eddie and Petey. She liked a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A later date for the Celebration of Life event has been set.
