A shooting at a gym in Glenarden on Thursday night is under investigation by the Police. According to Prince George’s County Police, officers were called to the Los Angeles Sports Center at 9450 Ruby Lockhart Boulevard for a report of a shooting around 8:30 p.m.
There is little information about the shooting at this time, but a Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed to WUSA9 that a man suffered pain during the execution. There is no statement yet regarding his condition.
Glenarden Police Chief Regis Bryant said that the shooting occurred after an argument between two men and a woman on the basketball court. According to Bryant, multiple people witnessed the shooting.
Police said they believe there was a disturbance at the gym earlier that night, causing the suspect to leave and return. When they returned, an argument broke out in which gunshots were heard. At least one was fired.
The police officer reportedly drove away in a white car before the police arrived. No suspects have yet been identified.
The incident is being investigated.
