To find a missing DoorDash delivery driver, Chicago police are asking for the public’s assistance. Elijah Okunola, 24, is said by the police to visit Hyde Park and the downtown Loop frequently.
Elijah Okunola Missing Details:
Elijah Okunola, a DoorDash driver usually working in Hyde Park and downtown, has been missing since Saturday. Chicago police are attempting to find him.
Although Okunola’s last contact is recorded as April 13 in the Chicago police missing persons notice, DoorDash reports that his previous successful delivery was on April 2.
Okunola is a 24-year-old Black man with brown eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion. He weighs 140 pounds and is five feet six inches tall. He was last seen, according to the police, sporting blue pants, a thin black jacket, and black and white gym shoes. He was last seen in Chicago, traveling close to 55 East Pearson Street. Okunola’s elder brother said he was last seen dropping his mother off at work. He lives with his mother and sister.
DoorDash Statement:
In a statement, DoorDash said, “We decided to reach out to the Okunol family to offer our support during this difficult time. We are devastated to hear about this tragic situation.” We have been collaborating extensively with local law enforcement to support them during their investigation in any manner since we prioritize community safety.”
