Officials say the guy suspected of killing Sade Robinson went on a date with the Wisconsin teen the day before her remains were discovered, and now the suspect is scheduled to make another court appearance.
After police got a report of a severed limb on a golf course in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, on April 4, Maxwell Anderson, 33, was detained during a traffic check and charged with Robinson’s killing. The day following Anderson and Robinson’s meeting, on April 2, the leg was found.
On April 2, Robinson was listed as missing. The teenager’s friends thought something was wrong when she failed to show up for her shift at a pizza restaurant the night before, despite having gone on a date with Anderson the previous evening at a Milwaukee seafood restaurant where he used to work.
Currently, the man she went on a date with faces the following accusations: first-degree murder with intent, deforming a dead body, and arson on non-building property.
All About Robinson’s Death
According to prosecutors, Anderson, 33, and Robinson went on their first date in Milwaukee on April 1.
She texted him saying she felt like eating seafood, so he accompanied her to a seafood restaurant, according to 6ABC, which cites a criminal complaint.
Prosecutors alleged that Robinson returned to Anderson’s house following a night out.
Prosecutors say that Robinson is the owner of the severed human leg that was discovered by officials at Cudahy’s Warnimont Park the next day.
Since then, more human remains have been discovered in Milwaukee, which has resulted in widespread media coverage of the case.
Anderson’s Court Date
On April 22 at 1:30 p.m., Anderson is anticipated back in court for his preliminary hearing at the Milwaukee County Courthouse Criminal Justice Facility. Assistant District Attorney Ian Vance-Curzan will be expected to present evidence supporting Anderson’s felony conviction. Anthony Cotton, Anderson’s defence lawyer, will have the opportunity to cross-examine state witnesses.
Judge Jean Kies of Milwaukee County Circuit Court will determine if probable cause exists. If she is right, Anderson will be put on trial and the matter will proceed to an arraignment hearing when he can enter a guilty or innocent plea.
To establish a case against Anderson, the prosecution employed phone tracking information, witness accounts, and security footage. The investigation and search for other body parts are still ongoing, according to statements made last week by representatives of the Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
Anderson was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, which carries a life sentence, mutilating a corpse, and arson a week after his arrest.
More About Sade Robinson
According to Sheena Scarbrough, Robinson’s mother, Robinson would have turned 20 in May and received an associate degree in criminal justice from Milwaukee Area Technical College, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a publication of the USA TODAY Network.
Robinson enjoyed travelling alone, according to her mother, and she had aspirations of enlisting in the US Air Force. She visited Jamaica this year in addition to New Orleans, Atlanta, and other locations.
However, her manager claimed that she was currently popular among both coworkers and patrons at the local pizzeria where she worked.
Her manager, Justin Romano, told local media outlet 6ABC she was “very outgoing, she would talk to everybody here. She was always there to lighten the mood.”
